We have found a huge gap in the recovery space – a supportive community that’s focused on the somatic aspect of sober living.
If you are on a recovery journey and want to feel more ease and freedom in your body, join us to…
Understand why your body is the missing link to sustainable change
Build capacity to navigate your emotions with confidence and compassion
Reclaim personal agency in your body and experience freedom from unwanted behaviors
Learn practical somatic tools to self-regulate and soothe discomfort naturally
Receive support and co-regulate with like-minded community
We recognize all forms of addiction when we use the term “in recovery,” and intend for these groups to be fully inclusive. As long as you are interested in reconnecting with and deepening connection to your body, we would love to have you.
Every group will follow the same rhythm of peer support and process time, along with guided somatic practice and reflection. This is a trauma-informed, relaxed space to share and relate with each other, and ourselves, in new ways.
Whether you’ve been in recovery for years, months, days, or are debating whether sobriety is right for you, you are welcome!

This session will be exceptionally potent for the rising energy of the spring season. Come spring forward to be concentrated and radiant.
Pt 3. IMAGINATION & INSIGHT
Part three is for integration. Let the imagination beget insight with the poetry of practice. We’ll play techniques to not lose your mind in your body. From Body to Page: A Yoga, Journaling and Meditation workshop
Sunday, April 19 | 3:00–5:00 PM
with Margi Young and Shanti Brien
Sliding scale $15-$75
Margi Young and Shanti Brien come together for a Sunday afternoon workshop devoted to slowing down, listening inward, and giving voice to what wants to be written.
Beloved Nest teacher Margi Young has dedicated her life to yoga and meditation as pathways toward clarity, steadiness, and ease. Shanti is a writing teacher who helps people know themselves more deeply and write their stories so they can grow—and make their unique impact on the world. Together, they bring complementary practices that support both inner listening and honest expression.
Join them at Nest for this two-hour writing and yoga workshop. The afternoon is designed to help clear mental cobwebs, soften physical tension, and create the conditions for writing that feels true, alive, and nourishing.
The writing prompts will focus on the body: meaningful memories related to our bodies, the emotions we hold there, and the messages our bodies may be sending us. When the world feels chaotic or scary, returning to ourselves—physically and emotionally—can be grounding and stabilizing. This workshop offers a gentle space to reconnect and listen.
The workshop will include:
Guided meditation & breath work
A well-crafted, accessible movement sequence
Writing prompts
Stillness and rest
Group discussion and optional sharing
Please bring a journal

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Sliding Scale: $65-$85
Join Sophia Mallie and Dr. Dawn Sanders for a deeply restorative acupuncture and sound healing experience designed to gently release resistance held in the body, mind, and nervous system.
The experience begins with a short series of restorative yoga poses, helping the body unwind and prepare for rest. From there, you’ll be invited to settle in as acupuncture needles are placed to support balance and energetic flow. Throughout the session, you’ll be immersed in the healing resonance of Sophia’s live vocals and crystal singing bowls. Sound waves move through the body like water, softening areas of tension, quieting mental over-effort, and creating space for ease, clarity, and receptivity.
This offering invites you to let go of striving and allow your system to settle into a state of deep regulation and repair. As resistance dissolves, many experience a sense of spaciousness, emotional release, and renewed vitality.
Come as you are. Leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more deeply connected to your natural state of balance.

Sun Salutations: Bright and Healthy
Saturday, June 20
1:00 - 4:00 PM
with Annie Carpenter
In Person, via Livestream and Recorded for 30 days access
As Yogis we love to connect to Rituals, especially those that connect us to our body and our breath, to nature, and to the great traditions of Yoga. The Sun Salutation is all of that, and much more.
We practice this beautiful pattern in Asana to warm up, to connect our movement with the breath, to build both strength and flexibility, to examine our habits and make healthy choices and to yoke ourselves to the ritual that is Yoga.
BUT— This beloved ritual can be full of poor alignment and create painful habits; it also needs to be adjusted as we mature. The Sun Salutation I did in my 20s-40s is not the one I do now.
Join Annie for an afternoon of deep respect and rethinking of this beloved ritual. We’ll look at why we do each pose and transition, and find smart and better ways to approach them. We’ll lovingly question this tradition fully and re-imagine our way for today.
This workshop is for you if:
You love to move
You love to breathe
You want to continue to practice intelligently
You are ready to refine, and adjust.
This afternoon is for all Yogis with at least a couple of years under their belts, and for teachers who want to teach smarter.
