Alise is new to the Bay Area, having relocated from Austin, Texas, and is looking forward to teaching and learning within this beautiful Yoga community. Drawing from her passion for health and wellness on a spiritual, emotional, and physical level, Alise leads Vinyasa-based classes that emphasize breath, alignment, and self-exploration.
Coming from an overworked career in the ever-bustling scientific world in 2011, Alise fell in love with the ability to experience and share in stillness through Yoga. Yoga as more than Asana is a foundation for her practice and teaching. With a focus on intentional alignment and the subtle body, along with creative sequencing, Alise encourages each student to find connection to the strength and subtleties they can take with them through their practice both on and off the mat.
Alise is currently certified at the 200hr level in Vinyasa Yoga and has completed additional trainings in Lotus Flow, SMARTflow, and Yin Yoga. When not in studio, you can find Alise barefoot in the park, relaxing with her cat, or eating dark chocolate.
